Camping Couleurs du Monde is in Faverolles-sur-Cher, between the vineyards of Touraine, the castles in the Loire Valley and the well-known Zoo de Beauval. During your holiday at this spot, you combine quiet, countryside and culture.

Camping amid the flowers and trees

The campsite has 108 camping pitches and about 30 hire accommodation. The site is filled with flowers and plants, making it feel like you are camping in a park. The camping pitches are separated from each other by bushes and trees. There are camping pitches with and without shade.

From breakfast to sports competitions

You can go to the campsite restaurant for a tasty snack, an ice cream after a long hot day, for a beer to accompany a sports competition and even for breakfast. There is a large supermarket and a French boulangerie beside the campsite.

There is plenty for children to do at the campsite. There is a nice and warm swimming pool with a retractable roof, an additional swimming pool for toddlers with playground equipment, a playground, a games hall and even a small petting zoo. In the high season, there is a special entertainment programme for the little ones, when they can play, do crafts and dance.

Amid the Loir-et-Cher castle region

There is plenty to do around Camping Couleurs du Monde. Discover the surrounding area on foot, hire a bike at the campsite or go on River Cher in a canoe. The medieval town of Montrichard is 1.5 kilometres away, and it has a small sandy beach by River Cher. If you would rather go for something bigger, visit the cities of Tours (60 km), Blois (35 km) and Orléans (100 km).

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - Location is excellent for Loire Chateaux, staff are very friendly and helpful, swimming pool is nice for children, campsite is quiet and spacious with good facilities.
Disliked - Difficult I know - but trying to keep grass and mud out of toilets and showers after heavy rain.

Very close to large supermarket
Disliked - Food menu caters to the masses, could do with a few more refined dishes.
Offering entry in the evening post 10pm when you have been out for a meal somewhere would be useful. Could an electronic key be issued for a night?

Liked - The campsite is situated close to the autoroute and is well located when travelling from south of France to Caen ferry port. Shower blocks are modern and clean
Disliked - The campsite charges a 20 Euro administration fee for booking a pitch which made our booking be night stay expensive. Reception did not inform us that croissants and bread were to be pre ordered. The electrical distribution for several pitches failed shortly after arrival. The campsite staff reset the distribution point however it failed again at 0240 hours with no ability to reset the power. Swimming pool is dated.

Liked - Nearness of service facilities.
Disliked - Supposed to be 19 euros a night with ACSI and we were charged 23 euros and a non refundable booking fee of 20 ,euros, so felt rather cheated.

Very pleasant and quiet campsite. Easy access for large motorhomes with shady and non shade available. Well designed grey water dump and fresh water pickup. Wash facilities modern and well maintained. Plenty of hot water. Swimming pool large warm and safe. Play areas for children. Paid WiFi with good signal. Staff very helpful and lots of good cycling around.
