The historic Loire Valley in central France is a picturesque area known for its rich nature and centuries-old castles. If you are looking for peace and quiet, if you like cycling and hiking, you have come to the right place at Camping La Confluence Onlycamp. The cosy village of Savonnières is perfect for having a bite to eat in the evening meal.

Spacious in the shade

Thanks to its location on the Loire à Vélo route, this campsite is very popular with cyclists. A special field has been laid out for small tents. Those who do not have a tent with them can rent one of the robust furnished tents for a comfortable stay with plenty of sleep. The spacious pitches for a caravan or large tent are located along several narrow streets in the shade. Some pitches offer a view of the water. Motorhome owners can count on a pitch on a paved surface. Always a pleasure!

Cycling, swimming and playing

You don’t have a bike with you, but would still like to explore the beautiful surroundings? Rent one at the campsite. Or a kayak if you prefer a trip on the river. But a swim in the Cher river is also great. If you come camping with children, you can count on a small playground with climbing frames and in the summer months there regularly is a bouncy castle.

Granny in the kitchen

Right next to the campsite is the wooden restaurant À la soupette de Mémère (literally: 'in grandma's kitchen'). On the patio of this relaxing place you can enjoy a delicious meal and a splendid view over the river.

"La Confluence is located on the banks of the river Cher with view on the town. Spacious pitches. The stalactite caves and mushroom nurseries in the neighborhood are worth visiting. Don't forget to pay a visit to the castle of Ussé (sleeping-beauty castle) and to Villandry with its beautiful gardens."

Travelling party: Seniors

This is the worst site we have ever stayed at, sanitary facilities dire, only one we available for whole site. Rusted pipe work, no seat on wc. The staff are sullen and unhelpful. The grounds are very scruffy and unkempt, with broken branches around. Some electrical points broken and unusable, even the ones that are usable are badly maintained. Avoid if you can.
