Camping Parc de Fierbois is a family campsite on a recreational lake, just south of the Loire Valley in the Indre-et-Loire department. Adventure trail, tree houses and water park: here you'll find everything you need to give children a fantastic holiday. Enjoy a comfort pitch with private sanitary facilities, a game of pool in the bar and dive into one of the swimming pools.

The A10 takes you via Tours through the Loire Valley, where you cross the Indre just under Tours. At Sorigny's, you trade the A10 for the D910. Then drive south for another 15 minutes. The last part you drive on a narrow road through a forest. When you pass this road the gate of Camping Parc de Fierbois appears. The receptionists speak English.

Camping

You can choose a comfort pitch, situated on the shady edge of the forest or a spacious touring pitch on lawns with a more open character. Some pitches have private sanitary facilities, for extra luxury. Part of the communal sanitary facilities will be renewed in 2018.

Entertainment for the whole family

In addition to chalets, mobile homes and gîtes, you can also rent a tree house. Also adventurous for children is the climbing course at the lake. The lake itself offers all possibilities for anglers and water sports enthusiasts. The children can have even more water fun in the water park on the campsite. Deep and shallow pools run into each other here. The bar at the water park has a spacious outdoor café and there is often live music. The bar has a games hall with a.o. pool tables. There is also a separate restaurant and an extensive supermarket on the campsite.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - Friendly reception staff. Kids loved the pool and always had a lifeguard on duty.
Disliked - Shop poorly stocked, large group of intimidating youths made time at the pool unpleasant and took our sunbeds without asking. Same group were also very noisy until 2-3am during their stay. Feeling that park was winding down for the end of season during our stay despite charging premium holiday rate.

Liked - Staff were friendly
Disliked - The site was tired. Shop lacked stock because presumably it was end of season (but then why charge full price for the stay?). Bar area rarely cleaned. Lakeside - rarely cleaned - litter and dog foul left. Restaurant food was very poor and very over priced and lack of choice. Overall - too expensive and will not return as a result. We could get a very nice gite for a lot less!

Liked - Lots of things to do and in a great setting. Restaurant was good. Pool was really nice.
Disliked - Toilet block sinks area was in need of renovation. Crazy golf neglected and needs sweeping and some repairs.

Liked - We liked the swimming lake and indoor pool and the table tennis
Disliked - Having amplified music or events until 11pm is too late for a family campsite. On the Friday night we were kept awake until after 230am by loud singing from the centre of the site. (We had asked to move pitch on arrival - after fellow campers warned of the noise - but were told this was not possible.)

Liked - Very busy site during peak season, pitches are nice and large and we were happy to he in the far corner error away from the main amenities but we felt the site wasn't prepared to cope with the numbers of people. 3 hour wait for pizza, no hand soap in the toilets on numerous occasions and over subscribed activities... the lake and woods are beautiful and you get a real sense of space there but the pool during the day and bar area in the evening were too busy and we felt the staff were trying their hardest but the staffing levels weren't able to handle the sheer volume of people.
Disliked - Bigger pizza oven. More soap refills in the toilets during the day, more sunbeds by the pool, more staff serving and better catering options.

Liked - Location, the lake & pool are a great asset to the site . Yoga class was amazing! Thank you for providing this relaxing opportunity just 5 mins away from the site .
Disliked - More sun loungers . As an older active couple who meet family here with teenagers, the prices for the holiday did not reflect the amount we actually used the activities & events that were organised. I feel that we didn’t perhaps get value for money. However I feel for families with younger children it is a great value holiday.

Liked - Everything about the park is great, clean, big pitches and the lake is just fabulous
Disliked - Reducing the noise....2am is not acceptable for the bar area still being in use...no idea if drinks were being served but large groups congrated until the early hours and we're very noisy
