Only 5 km from the city of Tours, in the village La Ville-aux-Dames, lies the small campsite Les Acacias. This region, the Loire Valley, is very popular with tourists. This can be attributed to the number of castles and vineyards. The nearby lovely city of Tours also attracts many visitors. The campsite is open all year round, but from 15 September to 31 March the reception is open irregularly. It is therefore necessary to make a reservation for this period. It is mainly a transit campsite, where you can, of course, also spend a few days longer to explore the area.

Friendly reception
In the shaded reception you will be warmly welcomed by the owners or receptionist. Please note: you can only enter the reception from 15:00. If you're earlier, please call the campsite. They will tell you to buy a code on the internet to enter the terrain. Ahead of you, you see a rather open site with only some shade along the perimeter (depending on the time of the day). Here you will also find the permanent accommodation: some twenty holiday homes and mobile homes suitable for 2-6 persons. Overnight guests with their own tent, caravan or camper van may select their own pitch on the central grounds, often partly demarcated.
Restaurant with nice terrace
The restaurant of the campsite, Au Jardin des Dames, has a pleasant terrace which becomes the hub of the campsite in the evenings. The menu is limited, but the quality of the food on offer is extremely good. At the reception you can buy basic necessities, but it is only a 300 m walk to a large shopping centre with a supermarket.
Activities
Directly from the campsite you can venture on cycling trips through the Loire Valley or go to the city of Tours. Across from the D751 (be careful when crossing the road) you can can go on great walks along forests on the banks of the Loire.
