Camping in the Loire
The last part of the route will take you through a rural area east of the city of Tours. The campsite is easily accessible from various motorways. This also makes it a good location to stay overnight if you are passing through.
Space and peace
Surrounded by woods with ancient oaks, you can set up a spacious pitch. All 42 of the pitches are fairly large and demarcated with hedges. Plenty of privacy. If you would like a shady or sunny pitch, both are possible. A bonus is that the grassy surface is flat. The quiet grounds are well-kept, and the white toilet block also looks neat.
Go for a lovely swim
To cool off, the lovely lake of Val Joyeux is only 300 m away. You can swim there in the months July and August, and there is a lifeguard who keeps an eye on things. The small beach is a great place for children to play.
