Because of its location only 1.5 km from exit 27 of the Autoroute du Soleil (A6), Camping de Tournus is an ideal overnight campsite. The spacious pitches on grass are not really demarcated. All have electricity. There is a bar with a breakfast service and takeaway meals as well as a small shop with daily fresh bread, drinks and (regional) products for your convenience. Fifty metres from the campsite entrance you will find the Tournus municipal swimming pool.

Excellent stopover

Due to its favourable location close to the highway, Camping de Tournus, on the outskirts of the town by the same name, is ideally suited for a short sojourn on the way to or from the south. The camping grounds are not very extensive but are well-tended with spacious pitches on grass. They are equipped with all amenities. Several pitches are paved which makes them suitable for campers as well. There are two clean sanitary buildings which are also accessible for disabled persons.

Funky 'cabanes'

Recently, the campsite has also added some very funky rental huts. The huts are built as a type of wooden tent. They can accommodate five people in real beds. In each hut, there is a mezzanine bed of 90 x 190 cm, a double bed of 120 x 190 cm and a sleeper couch which converts into a bed of 140 x 190 cm. The furniture consists of a folding table and stools. Pillows and duvets are available for free, sheets or towels can be rented. There is electricity and a radiator/towel dryer.

The huts have no sanitary facilities but are close to a sanitary building with toilet, shower and washbasin. Great idea for a comfortable stopover with children!

Zelf een plek zoeken. Na geïnstalleerd te zijn met caravan: luifel uit e.d. kwam de beheerster schreeuwend en op hoge poten vertellen dat wij verkeerd stonden. Naar ik begreep evacuatie gang. Mijn excuses hele handel verplaatst. Maar de manier waarop het mij verzocht werd vond ik wel buitenproportioneel. Ik naar de receptie voor een excuus. Dat had ik beter niet kunnen doen. Er hangen briefjes in 4 talen: geschreeuw of ik blind of achterlijk ben. Van een excuus geen sprake. De bewegwijzering is zeer onduidelijk, ik heb op 1 dag 4 campinggasten moeten corrigeren. Zelden zo een agressief, onprofessioneel gedrag meegemaakt en kampeer al sinds mijn geboorte. Hier komen wij nooit meer!

Camping heeft ruime plekken. Sanitair vonden wij erg tegenvallen. Een gedeelte van het sanitair was dicht. Staat camping in het hoogseizoen vol, dan is het sanitair niet toereikend. Voor april is de camping te duur. Koud water tijdens het douchen. Eten en drinken is ook aan de dure kant. Personeel was niet zo vriendelijk, viel tegen. Komen hier niet meer terug.

Toegewezen plek was groot zat. Sanitair verouderd, losse wc brillen/ophanghaakjes. Wel redelijk schoon.
Eten was goed. Terras en binnenruimte om te eten zagen er erg ongezellig uit dus aten we bij onze caravan.

Telkens wanneer wij naar zuid Frankrijk gaan overnachten we in Tournus op camping Tournus.De camping is net ver gelegen van de autobanden. Ruime plaatsen op het gras. Het restaurantje verzorgt eenvoudige smakelijke maaltijden. Het interessante centrum is te voet te bereiken..Kortom een prettige overnachtingsplaats

Wij zijn in september 2022 een week op deze camping geweest. Werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen door een jonge man en jonge vrouw, familie of medewerkers, was niet helemaal duidelijk, werden zeer streng door de eigenaresse of beheerster aangepakt. Verder geen advies of hulp van het personeel nodig, dus weinig contact. Omgeving is prachtig om te fietsen en bij de tourist info in de stad Tournus voldoende informatie gekregen, om de stad te bekijken.
Ik kreeg na een aantal dagen een acuut medisch probleem, had medicijnen nodig. Vroeg de eigenaresse of beheerster om een arts te adviseren. Was onmogelijk, ik had een week van te voren een afspraak moeten maken. Ja, als we het geweten had......
Moesten maar naar een ziekenhuis gaan. Dit laatste waren wij niet van plan. Zijn naar de tourist info gegaan en deze hebben diezelfde middag nog een afspraak gemaakt bij een arts. Alle lof voor dame van de tourist info en de arts in Tournus
We zullen best wel weer eens naar deze camping gaan, maar niet voor de aardige beheerder of het sanitair. Dit laatste is matig, maar wel schoon.

Doorreis camping . Ruime plaats, over algemeen alleen doorreis gasten tijdens ons verblijf. Schaduw afdoende.

En nog wat, de wifi is hier fantastisch. Snel, precies zoals die moet zijn. Als de camping helemaal vol is dan gaat het iets omlaag.
