A neatly maintained French family campsite in Burgundy's magnificent south Thanks to the campsite's stunning locale amidst the hills and a lake, you can take in the natural surroundings with just a 500-metre walk from the village of Matour's intimate city centre. Camping de Matour is right next to a large recreational park with a spacious outdoor swimming pool, sauna and playground that are available free of charge for camping guests. Explore the beautiful landscapes on foot or bicycle; the location marks a good starting point for tours of various lengths.

Camping in Burgundy

This welcoming campsite is easily accessible from the A6 motorway, on the well-known Route du Soleil. The quiet campsite is situated at the edge of the village of Matour. Your eyes will be drawn to a riot of colourful flowers nearby the main building visible from the campsite's entrance barrier. There, you'll find the reception and, behind that, a bar with terrace, followed below by one the sanitary buildings. The local shops are 500 metres away, including a very good bakery, a supermarket and assorted restaurants.

A range of beautiful pitches

Camping de Matour has approximately 80 pitches which are quite large, but sometimes the surface is not completely level. Visitors can choose from a good selection of sunny and shady places. The two sanitary buildings are clean and well maintained, one of which is fairly new. Would you like to enjoy that camping feeling, only with a bit more luxury? Camping de Matour's charming wooden chalets are on a separate field. And, if you overnight in one of the delightful lodge tents, you'll be close to the touring pitches.

Prachtige camping op een super mooie plek, we hebben er genoten. De beheerders zijn fantastisch en geven je een prettig welkom. Sanitair is super schoon. We komen graag terug, alleen wat eerder in het seizoen.

Camping gelegen in mooi gebied, je kan mooie wandelingen maken rond meer. Proper en onderhouden sanitaire. Zwembad ligt vlak naast de camping en is aangenaam voor alle leeftijden! Rustige camping met mooie schaduwrijke plekken. Veel sportvelden en speeltuintjes op wandelafstand. Ook dorpje is op wandelafstand van de camping. Wij vonden het er zeer leuk!

Deze zomer hebben we een tussenweek in Matour gestaan. In onze ogen is dit een echte municipal camping. Heerlijke douches en bijna kokend water voor de afwas. Voorzieningen zijn al wel aardig op leeftijd. Voordeel van zo\'n camping zijn de oude bomen die heerlijk schaduw geven. Het geweldige gratis zwembad vanaf 11.00uur open voor campinggasten. Voor de visvijver is een visvergunning nodig. Er zitten grote karpers in. Eenvoudig restaurant. De omgeving is niet echt spectaculair. we zijn er na een week wel uitgekeken eerlijk gezegd.

Ontvangst was vriendelijk. Volop plek, dus zelf kiezen waar te gaan staan.
Tennisbaan ligt ernaast, veel lawaai in de avond.

In voorseizoen heel rustige camping.We hebben genoten van de stilte en de geur van bloeiende lindebomen.Het prachtige zwembad was overdag beschikbaar voor schoolzwemmen. Na 16.30 uur en in de weekends ook voor campingasten gratis toegang. Beheerders-echtpaar erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam,

De voorzieningen zijn prima en de omgeving is ook heel erg mooi.
