Located on a peninsula, surrounded by the Loire and the Canal du Nivernais, Camping des Halles is the perfect location in Burgundy for anglers and cyclists. And for those looking for peace and quiet, as there is no busy road or other noise around the campground.

Camping on the Loire

Choose a campsite among the trees with a beautiful view of the water. When evening falls, you'll see the beautiful sunset. Swans paddle serenely on the water and you can drink the wonderful French wine of the Loire region. A holiday in France just doesn't get better than that. The campsites are equipped with grass spread between the trees. So you'll have plenty of shade. There are paved sites for camper parking. If you are coming to camp at campsite des Halles with a tent, you can use the communal space which has a gas stove and a microwave.

Freshen up in the recently spruced up sanitary building. It is an open building with enough toilets and free warm showers.

Plenty of water activities

How about a swim? You can take a dip in the municipal swimming pool nearby, with a retractable roof. You do have to pay an entry fee for use. Or you can go to the recreation park on the other side of the campground. Entry is free, and there is a playground, spray park, dock, bar with terrace and a mini golf course.
