Camping des Cerisiers is situated in Morbihan, in the south of Brittany. Here you are only two km away from the medieval town of Josselin with its imposing castle. Des Cerisiers is a small campsite with pitches in sheltered locations in a cherry orchard. The campsite is at a distance of five hundred metres from the Napoleonic canal Brest-Nantes.

Camping or renting?

In addition to pitches, there are also accommodations available. You can rent these if you do not have your own camping equipment. In addition to classic types of accommodation, there is also some more unusual accommodation, such as bulles (type of transparent bubbles), one yurt, one Campétoile, Coco Sweets and Coco Duos. Those pitches are spacious (between 80 m2 and 130 m2) and all have electricity.

Entertainment and amenities

On the campsite children can enjoy themselves in the playground with various kinds of playground equipment. Furthermore, there is a table tennis table and a table football game. In addition to the usual sanitary facilities, there is a laundry area with washing machine and tumble dryer.

The small shop stocks basic supplies and a few local products. In the snack bar you can buy drinks and snacks, of course. In the mornings you can get breakfast here. There are also two charcoal barbecues on the campsite.

Especially for hikers and cyclists

This campsite is eminently suitable for hikers and cyclists. One hundred metres from the campsite you can find the GR37 trail.

"Basic camp site in the woods at 600m from the channel Brest-Nantes with its lovely flat cycling routes. Marked cycling routes for the experienced cyclist nearby. In the neighborhood there are a few historic towns, such as Josselin with its medieval fortified castle."

Travelling party: Single

Liked - A wonderful small tranquil site run by owners who clearly care about the service they offer. Particularly welcomed the ability to order bread each morning and that they invited local producers to the site who offered additional services.

Liked - Really lovely campsite, very clean facilities, breakfast can be provided. Nice pitches with space and some privacy. Have lots of different camping pods to stay in as well- we were in a camper van. Easy cycle to Josselin along the canal.
Disliked - We weren’t advised that we could order bread in the morning - saw some people picking it up. We would have been happy to do this.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - Well run site, with a bakery service and a reasonably priced bar (didn't try the restaurant).
Disliked - Outside toilets need access to a sink with soap. Too many pitches are given over to glamping.

Travelling party: Seniors

Liked - Location, cleanliness and size of site and the fact we could feed the animals. The owners were very accommodating and patient with our French speaking. Having a snack bar on a small site was great. We didn’t have to pay for visiting family. There was always hot water available.

Liked - Good pitches .privacy hedges..run by a very nice couple. Convenient for the Canal, but quite an uphill walk coming back. Good clean facilities.
The goats, sheep and pig add to the fun of the place.
The snack bar and cafe area are good.

Disliked - Possibly a more varied menu.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - We loved the relatively small size of this site and its rural location. Perfectly situated for walks and cycle rides into the forests or along the canal.
The facilities are all clean and well kept. The owners were incredibly helpful and the bar/restaurant they run is excellent- we recommend the pizzas.
