The green location of Camping de L'Eau Mère is an asset for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet. The Allier valley between the Parc Naturel Regional des Volcans d’Auvergne (Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park) and the Parc Naturel Regional Livradois-Forez (Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park) is a popular camping destination. Within walking distance of the campsite lies Sauxillanges, which is the starting point for beautiful short and long walking tours through the volcanic landscape. You can also go here for your daily shopping. Fishing is permitted in the stream that flows past the campsite.

Camping in the Puy-de-Dôme
While driving towards the campsite, you will pass the foothills of the Livradois mountains in a hilly region close to the A75. The campsite is only 15 minutes away from the exit, making it a good place to stop on your journey. The historic city Issoire and the capital city of Puy-de-Dôme, Clermont Ferrand, are both easily accessible. Perfect for a day out. You will be warmly welcomed at the reception by the cheerful owner Sébastien. The extensive site is well-organised and has spacious pitches, some of which have a panoramic view of the surrounding hills.
Pitches under the trees
Several high trees enhance the calming effect of the campsite. All pitches are imaginatively demarcated using low railway sleepers and are at least 90 m2 in size. The main toilet block, in the same building as the reception, has all necessary amenities for children and disabled persons. For guests without their own camping equipment, various types of mobile homes are available for comfortable overnight stays.
