Welcome!
When you swap the A71 for the A89 at Combronde, you are already driving towards the 'dômes', the dome-shaped mountains of the Massif Central. Take exit 25 at Saint-Julien-Puy-Lavèze in the direction of La Bourboule. When you have reached La Bourboule, you are in the middle of the domed mountains, in the valley of the Dordogne.
Adventurous rental accommodations
Les Vernières has 165 flat and spacious touring pitches, situated on well-maintained lawns, separated by hedges or shrubs. A small disadvantage: between the river and the campsite there is a road. The touring pitches along this road may have some trouble with noise. The campsite has 19 rental accommodations. In addition to chalets and bungalows, you can stay in an ecolodge or an ecological hut. Or choose a yurt for a very adventurous holiday.
Being active outdoors
A large playground, trampoline and bouncy castle guarantee hours of fun. Small campers can also have fun in the covered and heated swimming pool. And you are only twelve kilometres away from the highest peak of the Massif Central: the Puy de Sancy. Suitable for hikers of all levels. Walk along waterfalls and through flowering meadows.
