The Cantal department in the Auvergne region is one of France’s thinnest populated areas. Camping Municipal de Saint Just is centrally located in this region, in the middle of the friendly little village of Saint-Just. You can go for lots of lovely walks and bicycle rides in the hills of the surrounding area. This municipality campsite is run by a friendly young couple. In the high season you benefit from a heated swimming pool and an entertainment programme.

Authentic campsite with new toilet facilities

Tourist pitches dominate the campsite, with about two/thirds of these flat and shady grounds reserved for touring pitches. The toilet block was renovated in 2024. It also contains a fully equipped bathroom for the disabled. If you would rather have your own bathroom, book a stay in a wooden mobile home or chalet. Furthermore, there are several motorhome pitches available.

A beautiful outdoor swimming pool with heated water is located at the centre of the ground, open only during the summer holidays. For sports enthusiasts the campsite also has a multi-sports field, a tennis court and a table-tennis table. Various kinds of balls, rackets and bats can be borrowed from the reception, as well as board games and toys. During the high season, entertainment is provided for both children and adults and a food bus comes to the campsite daily with fresh bread and other groceries.

Explore the surrounding area

The region has a nice variety of wooded areas and meadows. The landscape around the Lac du Barrage de Grandval reservoir is also definitely worth a visit. Or visit the Viaduc de Garabit, a beautiful railway bridge (designed by none other than Gustave Eiffel) over the Truyère river.
