In a region with green wooded hills, picturesque rivers, vineyards and medieval castles, you will find the child-friendly family resort Camping Moulin des Sandaux. This is a charming oasis of tranquillity and greenery, near the Dordogne river and not far from the famous city of Bergerac. The lovely holiday park is built around a characteristic 17th century mill.

Upon arrival at the campsite, you will see the impressive, old buildings housing the reception and the restaurant. The grounds also look fabulous and very well maintained. With a genuine warm welcome from the owners, the holiday is off to a good start.

Old walnut trees

The spacious camping pitches are beautifully located under mature walnut trees, not far from the fishing pond and the small river that runs through the grounds. The campsite is uncluttered, so children can easily find their way around. The rental accommodation consists of beautiful, fully furnished wooden chalets, mobile homes and safari tents, situated around a fishing pond.

35 m long slide

The swimming pool is also very attractive. It is naturally embedded in the area. A lovely round toddler pool and an elegant swimming pool with a 35 m long slide (opened at fixed times) is an enjoyment to young and old. There is an abundance of greenery around and more than enough sun loungers.

Entertainment and regional products

There is a playground, table tennis table, jeu-de-boule pitch and a room with a table football game and other board games. The shop at the reception stocks mainly regional products (walnut oil, walnut wine, patés, regional wines). There is also a bread service.

Sanitary facilities

The sanitary facilities are modern and look great.

"A beautiful large holiday park with bungalows and mobile homes. Extended with a campsite in 2013: a nice place to stay with a tent or small caravan/motorhome. A stream, the Sandaux, flows through the campsite grounds and along some bungalows. Beautiful campsite."

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - This very nice family will give you a very pleasant stay! A warm welcome, warm bonjour all the time and very nice selfbaked breads give will do you good. The campsite is Nice, neat and quit and attracks a lot of young families.
Disliked - The ecolodge give you comfort, space, climate control. But the beds arent that good: small, plastic and oncomfortable. Outside on the veranda we missend a shadecloth and a hammock would be nice.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - good location for visits but also can stay onsite for most of the stay with a good restaurant and a safe environment for children who can experience some stress less freedom even in the evening.
Child comment: The slide in the swimming pool is very good, seems short but faster than expected

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Liked - Nice small-scale campsite. Owners are well organized. Very friendly and helpful. The eco lodge was beautiful. 2 bedrooms with private bathroom and both private toilet. Nice swimming pool and good base for visiting nice places in the Dordogne.
Disliked - Not really a bummer. The WiFi and network coverage was less good. Something that we found irritating but missed the children. There was good wifi on the terrace
