Camping Liberté Lacanau is in the French department of Gironde. The campsite is located in a broad-leaved forest and is a few kilometres away from Étang de Lacanau lake. This family campsite is an oasis of peace in the Médoc nature reserve. It is a place to relax, and no activities are organised. Just sit down with a book in front of your tent or caravan and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Or go out to explore the beautiful surroundings.

Camping in the woods

The campsite is in a quiet area, in the middle of a woodland. You camp on grass here. As a holidaymaker, you can also stay in one of the safari tents or wooden mobile homes. These accommodations have an equipped kitchen and their own toilet and washing facilities. Campsite visitors with their own camping equipment use the communal toilet and washing facilities. During the high season a food truck comes regularly and there is a coffee bar with a terrace. Order your fresh rolls and cakes daily at the reception.

Swimming in a lake and the ocean

Lac de Lacanau is only a few minutes’ drive from the campsite. You can swim, stand-up paddleboard, sail and windsurf. If you would rather spend the day at the beach, the Atlantic Ocean (10 km) is also nearby. To get to the beach, you must drive through the coastal town of Lacanau, where there are several restaurant and shops.

The campsite is in green, wooded surroundings with many options for walking and cycling. The vicinity of the campsite has several chateaus with vineyards. Often a wine-tasting can be booked here.
