In the west of the Médoc region, between Lake Carcans and the Atlantic Ocean, you’ll find the Huttopia Lac de Carcans campsite. You will camp here on the shores of the lake in a large pine forest, which provides shady touring pitches. There is a wide range of comfortable lodge tents, so you can also enjoy a touch of glamping here. Children can have fun in the playground and swimming pool, while water sports enthusiasts can enjoy themselves on the lake and in the sea.

In the shade of pine trees
The touring pitches are nicely laid out between the winding roads, which are sometimes somewhat difficult to access. Many of the pitches have a sandy surface, which can make pitching your tent more difficult. However, you will always have shade from tall pine trees, which fill the hilly dune area. There are also various types of lodge tents (without and with private sanitary facilities).
Family campsite with outdoor pool
The vast forest is one big playground, but children can also have fun on the campsite's wooden playground equipment. There is also an outdoor swimming pool, situated in a sunny spot surrounded by trees. This spacious swimming pool is surrounded by a fence so safe for small children.
Snacks and groceries
In a modern 'roulotte' (gypsy caravan) in the heart of the campsite you will find the snack bar. The bar is surrounded by a wooden terrace, where you can sit in the sun or the shade of the pine trees. Fresh bread is available on the campsite, but for more groceries you will have to leave the campsite. There is a small supermarket a hundred metres away.
