Camping Dordogne Les Cinq Châteaux is an idyllic family campsite in a green area. You camp among the medieval villages of La Roque Gageac and Beynac, on the banks of the Dordogne river. You can walk to various villages alongside the river. You can even see the famous “valley of the five castles” from the campsite. Everything needed for a relaxed holiday in the Périgord Noir can be found here, including a heated swimming pool and fun activities.

Camping with a focus on nature

The pitches at Camping Dordogne Les Cinq Châteaux are spacious and offer both sun and shade. If you don't bring your own camping equipment, you can hire an accommodation, like a safari tent or mobile home. If you would prefer to do something more extraordinary, you can fall sleep in a bivouac tent nestled in the trees – two metres high. Much attention is paid to the environment. For example, there are facilities for separating waste and sensors to prevent unnecessary use of energy. This allows you to enjoy a holiday in the middle of nature, showing respect for your surroundings.

Activities and relaxation

During the summer months, Camping Dordogne Les Cinq Châteaux offers many activities, such as creative workshops and night-time walks. There are also sports facilities. For example, you could enjoy a game of jeu de boules, table tennis, volleyball and badminton and a fish pond. The heated swimming pool is surrounded by comfortable sun loungers. Good to know: swimming shorts and Bermudas are not permitted here. You can have a delicious pizza at the bar, or you can pick up food.

Liked - The view of the river was fantastic, the facilities clean, the pitch was amazing, and we were made to feel welcome. This is a site where, clearly, the experience of the camper comes before profit.

Liked - A lovely family run site with direct access to the river, pleasant pitches, walking distance to the town and restaurants and games/pool facilities. The site was clean, quiet (except for early morning ducks!) and pretty. Air ballons flying over the campsite some mornings made an incredible site. The owners were really helpful and accommodating in helping us resolve an emergency issue. We will come again and bring our friends!

Liked - The location was stunning, the facilities spotless and the owners couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. The ambience and surroundings were peaceful and relaxing. Watching the hot air balloons was a welcome bonus! Pitches were shady and those on the river bank are large. At the centre of a stunning length of the Dordogne and within easy reach of the main attractions in the area. The canoe trip booked through the site owners was excellent.
