Camping in the shade

You arrive at a well-maintained site in a quiet and rural part of the Dordogne. With around 70 camping pitches and over 20 mobile homes, chalets and gîtes, this is a small-scale campsite. The camping pitches are spacious and there are six special motorhome pitches. You camp in the lovely countryside on a grass field under the shade of the trees.

Lovely swimming pool

And of course, an outdoor swimming pool is a must. It's ideal for cooling down on hot summer days or for doing some laps in the morning. There is a paddling pool for the little ones and a patio with sun loungers. The swimming pool was fully renovated in 2021.

Caves and markets

Les Tourterelles is in the middle of a quiet part of the Périgord, as the French call the Dordogne. It is a forested, hilly region with charming villages, old castles and enchanting caves. The campsite is five minutes from the ‘Grotte de Tourtoirac', a beautiful cave with rock formations that you can walk through during a guided tour of about an hour. The larger towns of Périgueux, Sarlat-la-Canéda and Brive-la-Gaillarde are less than 30 minutes away. An enjoyable tour of the smaller villages is highly recommended. There are often lovely antique and flea markets there in the summer.
