Camping La Peyrugue is a naturally landscaped terraced campsite in the Périgord-Noir, one of the most beautiful areas of the Dordogne. The campsite is situated on the flank of a hill planted with beautiful oaks, walnut trees and pine trees. From some of the pitches the panoramic views are incomparable. With treasure hunts, pony rides, make-up workshops and more, there is plenty of entertainment for children.

Three types of pitches

There are three types of pitches. Are you going for a wooded pitch, a pitch on one of the terraces or a panoramic camping pitch? Feel free to let the campsite management know your preference and they will take this into account as much as possible. In general, all pitches are shaded, although there is also room for sunbathing.

The rental accommodations are set up between the pitches in such a way that they fit in perfectly with the campsite image. In addition, there is a special field where teenagers aged fourteen to eighteen are allowed to camp in their tents without parents or carers.

‘Soirées piscine nocturne’

This campsite has a spacious swimming pool with accompanying paddling pool, where the youngest among us will have fun with water toys. From your lounger by the pool you can enjoy the view over the beautiful surroundings and the castle of Peyruzel. In high season the pool is sometimes opened in the evening for special swimming evenings, the so-called 'soirées piscine nocturne'.

From barbecue evenings

Barbecue evenings often take place in high season. The campsite management provides the barbecue, tables and chairs, while campers bring their own plates, cutlery and food. A great way to meet other campers!

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - the location, the new toilet / showers, the staff are so lovely, the emplacements are beautiful, the bread ordering, the facilities, its beautiful!
Disliked - the pool was quite wild with small groups taking over with ball games etc (we have small quite timid children)
people put their towels on the pool loungers and then went back to their tents so no one else could use them! naughty!

Liked - Great attention to standards of cleanliness and site facilities..Good family vibe without being noisy. Nice pool and bar, cafe/restaurant. Walking distance from river swimming with toilets and park with play area. Daglan is a little treasure too.
Disliked - Camping car discharge point hose needs a pressure upgrade and the grid removing. Hot water tap in sanitaire block was bordering on being dangerously hot,

Liked - goede service en er werd veel georganiseerd . Ook op eet gebied werd veel gedaan. goed zwembad lekker bier.
Disliked - De ontvangst was allesbehalve vriendelijk. Na 1200 kilometer gereden te hebben kwamen wij 2 uur te voreg aan. De heer des huizes gaf aan dat wij dan maar 2 uur moesten wachten tot hij uitgegeten was. Wij stonden op het punt de vakantie te annuleren en naar een ander adres te gaan gelukkig kwam Deborah de boel redden en gaf ons de sleutel van het Chalet.
