Camping Le Capeyrou is located in a green paradise on the banks of the Dordogne. Here you will camp at the foot of Château de Beynac. You choose a camping pitch under the trees or directly at the water. In the pool, overlooking the castle, you take a royal dip. Would you like to see all the beauty that the Dordogne has to offer? Step into a canoe for a relaxing trip. Afterwards, you can end the day with live music on the terrace of the campsite.

Camping in the Dordogne

What strikes you most when you're looking for your pitch is the space. The space and all the greenery around you. Would you like a pitch with a view of the castle? Or do you prefer camping directly on the banks of the Dordogne? Wherever you choose to make camp, you're always under trees. On each spacious pitch, you can enjoy the cool shade and the peace and quiet.

Royal swimming

The royal castle can be seen from anywhere on the campsite. But the best view is from the pool. It is situated on a raised plateau, surrounded by hedges and a lawn. Plunge into the water with your children, big and small.

Dining with pizza and music

You've already had a drink. But of course, you can also have a bite to eat in the campsite restaurant. With a good pizza and live music, this is a great place to dine. Also because the castle looks even more beautiful at night than during the day. Do you prefer eating under your own tree in front of your camping tent? The pizzas can also be taken away.

We had a wonderful time at this campsite, thanks to the kind, enthusiastic, happy team who do everything - and more - to help.
The campsite is beautiful and well looked after, spacious, with trees and plants. The pitches are very large, the swimming pool is great, the view of the castle is amazing and all staff members are really brilliant!
We will certainly come back!
Thanks a lot

We return again! - why - the settig, Elodie as site director and her staff. Excellent swimming pool overlooked by Beynac Chateau on high. On the banks of the Dordogne, easy walk into the village, day to day shops over the road, welcoming bar, pizzas plus food trucks most evenings - every intention of returning

Travelling party: Family with children, various ages

Stayed for two weeks at the end of July, our son and his family stayed in one of the beautiful new lodges with views of the river, and we were in the pitch next door in our motorhome. Elodie & her team couldn’t have been more helpful in getting this arranged after the disappointment of Covid.

I can honestly say that this site is probably the best site we have stayed at anywhere, and that includes the UK. The toilets & shower blocks were always clean, despite the fact that the site was full to bursting. Our grandchildren loved the swimming pool and were delighted that they could go swimming morning and afternoons

The bar was a great meeting place, helped by watching the Lionesses win the women’s football Euros, the place was buzzing! It was a fantastic holiday, at a fantastic site, managed by a fantastic team. In fact, we liked it so much we arranged to go back two months later!

Repeat visitors, we finally returned after the Covid break. Slightly concerned following change of ownership, formerly privately owned and kept to a very high standard. Whilst initially impression was that standards might not be kept up, this was soon dissipated. The ground staff had been behind with their schedule but soon caught up. Elodie as resident site director and her team are exceptional. Situated besíde the Dordogne, large swimming pool, views of the chateau, provsion shops across the road - what more would you need for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful area - we shall be back.

We stayed for a couple of nights and found the site very quiet. It had lovely views of the old castle on top of the cliffs. This site could not be closer to the historic attraction, just a short walk. Well worth a visit. I got a very friendly welcome when we arrived.
