On the edge of characteristic Colmar in Alsace, not far from the German border, you’ ll find Camping de l'Ill. You will camp on an elongated green area on the banks of the river Ill. Its location, close to Colmar and the motorway, makes it ideal for visits to the city centre.

Camping by the river
You camp in a green spot on the outskirts of town. As a result, traffic noise from the motorway can reach the campsite fairly easily. Something to take into account. On the extensive campsite there are about one hundred and fifty shady touring pitches on the riverbank.
There are also almost one hundred paved campervan pitches, especially for the many motorhome owners who visit the campsite for a city visit or as a stopover. Rental accommodations are less available, but even there you still have plenty of choice.
Modest entertainment on the campsite
For entertainment at the campsite you can take a dip in the modern swimming pool. Around the pool are sun loungers, for when you want to spend an hour lazing in the sun. The shallow part of the Ill is also suitable for bathing. There is not much to do for children, although they can have fun in the playground at the campsite.
Shops within walking distance
If you want a quick bite, you can go to the cafeteria on the campsite. Here you can order french fries or drink in the outdoor café. For your daily shopping you don't have to go far: everything is within walking distance.
