In the northernmost tip of the island of Krk, directly on the Adriatic Sea, lies camp Omišalj. With a panoramic swimming pool, luxurious rental accommodations (some with a private pool) and a sanitary building with royal allure, this is a five-star campsite for the luxury camper.

Luxury pitches and rental accommodations

Don't expect lush woodland or rugged nature at camp Omišalj: everything about the campsite is neatly laid-out. The campsite is slightly terraced, the height differences are marked by small stone walls. Plants and flowers separate the pitches. There is little shade, as the terrain is fairly bare. This allows you to enjoy the view of the Adriatic Sea from your camping pitch.

You also have the choice to stay in one of the fully equipped mobile homes. They have air conditioning (fine during hot summer days) and some of these mobile homes even have a (partially) private swimming pool.

Beach and panorama swimming pool

The campsite stretches along the pebble beach of the artificially constructed Pušća Bay. The water is shallow and crystal-clear. It's ideal for a leisurely swim and children can play safely. The campsite swimming pool is close to the beach. From this long pool, where you can swim fine laps, you have a panoramic view of the Adriatic Sea. There is a toddler pool for little swimmers.

Culinary camping

At the poolside is the large restaurant, where several Mediterranean meals are served. If you'd like to try out being the campsite chef, you can find everything you need for a home-made meal in your caravan or camper in the supermarket on the campsite.

Travelling party: Seniors

Kemping bardzo czysty zadbany i ukwiecony, obsługa przemiła. Prócz basenów jest mini Zoo z którego do kamperów czasem przychodzą kózki, gąski oraz owieczki. Bardzo duża plaża więc niema tłoku. Byliśmy pod koniec czerwca 10 dni jest to najładniejszy kemping na jakim do tej pory byliśmy. GRATULACJE DLA CAŁEGO KEMPINGU I ZAŁOGI. Dziękujemy.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

We stayed here in a tent for 4 nights in late August. The camp and toilet facilities are nice and tidy. Bay gives some extra safety for the kids and for some who might be afraid of the deep sea. The view is probably the only downside because there is an oil refinery on the opposite side which looks nice in the evening but rather disappointing at daylight. Provided also that tent do not isolate sound this refinery makes a monotone noise during the night that is nicely transferred over by the sea. We were in the first row at the sea so probably less disturbing closer to the reception. Personally I also missed some kind of sport facility for adults. At least a few bars for street workout would have been nice.
