In the extreme north-western tip of Croatia, just across the Slovenian border, lies Camping Savudrija. This large, quiet four star campsite is located in a pine forest on the Adriatic coast, near the town of Umag. You camp here under tall trees, which provide ample shade. The campsite consists of two sections which are both located by the sea. The smaller northern section lies at the foot of the oldest lighthouse on the Adriatic coast.

For the adventurous swimmer
The crystal blue water is inviting, but the irregular rocky coastline with its stony beaches makes swimming here quite challenging. For those not quite as adventurous, the campsite has a beautiful outdoor swimming pool.
Spotting and catching fish
You can hire pedal boats and jet skis from the campsite, but you may also bring your own boat along. The clear water is ideal for snorkelling as well. If you prefer to look at fish at the end of your fishing rod, ask around for fishing options in the area.
For the entire family
Camping Savudrija is a real family campsite. There are a number of facilities for children: a trampoline, playground, swimming pool, table tennis table and mini golf course. Teenagers can play a game of beach volleyball or tennis. There is a mini club for children up to age twelve. The entertainment programme in high season is very popular.
Dinner is served!
There are several lovely communal picnic spots on the campsite. Ideal for a barbecue with the family. There is also a small shop for daily groceries. You will find larger supermarkets in Umag town, some eight km from the campsite. If you prefer eating out, you have plenty of choice on the campsite: grab a seat in a restaurant, pizzeria or snack bar.
