On the Croatian peninsula of Istria, on the Adriatic Sea, is Arena Indije Campsite. You'll find this quiet campsite on the west coast on a southern part of the island, near the old town of Pula. The campsite is located in an open pine forest, where the most beautiful touring pitches have a view of the Adriatic Sea.

Camping on the Adriatic Sea
Four hundred touring pitches are located on the campsite grounds. For tents the pitches are slightly smaller, caravans and motorhomes get larger pitches. The terrain is rather uneven (certainly towards the coast the terrain is decreasing in height) so the pitches are on different terraces. Not every terrace is equally flat and also the touring pitches are often uneven. So you may have to level your caravan or campervan. The large pine forest provides enough shade, although because of its open character there are also many spots to be found in the sun. The most beautiful (and most expensive) touring pitches offer a beautiful view over the Adriatic Sea.
Diving in the Adriatic Sea
Via stairs you reach the beach below. That consists mostly of rocks and stones, so it might be a bit less comfortable to lie here with a towel. However, swimming is excellent; the Adriatic Sea welcomes swimmers with open arms. Snorkeling and diving are also good. There is a diving school near the campsite.
Restaurant/shop
Next to a supermarket with a reasonable assortment you will find two restaurants on the campsite. In the pizzeria there are of course several pizzas and grill dishes on the menu. The other restaurant, which offers a beautiful sea view, introduces you to meat and seafood specialties from the Croatian cuisine.
