Not far from Nieuwpoort, on the Belgian North Sea coast, you will find Kompas Camping Westende. The campsite is not located directly on the beach, but this can easily be reached on foot. Just be careful when crossing the N34 and the coastal tramway. Camping Westende is a large, well maintained family campsite with spacious pitches and a wide selection of rental accommodation.

Family campsite

The pitches on Kompas Camping Westende are spacious and it is evident that in high season mainly Belgian and Dutch families with children visit this campsite. There is a lovely water playground for children and numerous activities are organised during the Belgian school holidays. There are also special family sanitary facilities.

Fresh fish and Belgian beers

The campsite restaurant, BAS. Grill & terrace, has a menu with a wide range of delicious dishes. You can go there for dinner, but also for a typical Belgian pint. Belgian 'frietjes' (chips) and other snacks are available from the chip shop on the campsite.

Le camping est beau dans l’ensemble mais les sanitaires sont sales. Nous n’avons jamais vu d’équipes d’entretien . Il manquait du papier wc !

J’ai réservé 3 nuit en camping car, ils m’ont donné la pire place et au même tarif, place petite, pas possible de capté sur parabole (séjour sous la pluie) , pas possible de mettre le chien devant du à la grandeur de la place et route principale du camping très passante. J’ai demandé à la réception pour un changement d’emplacement, ça été refusé. Problème de ce genre de camping de gros groupe. Une fois payé, vous comptez plus. À ce prix là, j’aurais mieux fait de me mettre sur un parking gratuit
