On the slope of a hill at the edge of the Ardennes, in the sloping landscape of the surroundings of the Belgian town of Namur, you will find campsite De Durnal 'Le Pommier Rustique'. From the terraces on the campsite you have a view on the valley of the river Bocq. Because of its location, close to the motorway, this campsite is ideal for campers travelling south.

The image of the campsite is determined by the mobile homes that overlook the landscape on several terraces. The campsite mainly welcomes regular guests, but there are also around forty pitches and around twenty rental units for touring campers. The small hiker's huts are great fun where the two of you can have a cosy camping holiday. The touring pitches are spacious and open, but don't have too much shade and privacy. What you do have from your camping pitch is a beautiful view of the vast fields and the wooded valley.

The highest part of the campsite is reserved for (youth) groups. They can camp on a separate terrain. This keeps possible disturbance to a minimum.

Simple facilities

The facilities on the campsite are quite simple and not too extensive. For children there are playgrounds with a trampoline and swings, while the athletes can let off steam on the outdoor fitness area. If you're tired of sports, you can go for a tasty snack or a fry in the 'friterie'. If you want to relax completely, you can do so in the log cabin, where you'll find a sauna and whirlpool.

Travelling party: Couple

Uitbater die gericht is op geld en niet op kwaliteit. Zeer onaangenaam persoon. Plaatsen zeer basic. We zijn nog nooit zo vlug vertrokken na 30 jaar reizen. Na 1 uur zijn we vertrokken. Tot NOOIT meer ! Blijf daar weg !
Arrogante kl.......Geniet van uw geld die we niet benut hebben.

Niet ver van de snelweg. Ruime plekken met gras, voor campers speciale stenen in het gras om op te gaan staan. Erg leuk ontvangen, de eerste keer met hemelvaart maar 2 nachten kunnen staan omdat het vol was. Namen bezocht en op de terugweg weer 2 dagen met bezoek aan Dinant. Receptiemedewerker praat ook wel wat Nederlands. Een bar en friterie met heerlijke friet, met Hemelvaart en in het weekend geopend. Toiletten en douches in ijzeren container maar erg schoon, deze vakantie in Frankrijk wel veel viezere toiletten enz. gezien. Gratis wifi. Vaak gebruikt als doortrekcamping.

Travelling party: Seniors

Wij hebben hier 2 nachten verbleven met onze campervan. Van 22 t/m 24 juni.
We hadden niet gereserveerd.
Daar aangekomen op zoek naar de receptie. Niemand aanwezig. Er staat wel een bord in drie talen dat je zelf een plek mag uitzoeken.
Toch nog even gaan zoeken of ik niemand vond. Een man in de cafetaria zei me dat we onze plek toch zelf mochten uitzoeken en dat de campingbeheerder na 18u zou langs komen.
En toen kwam de verrassing..... Driesterrencamping: douches en toiletten zijn geïnstalleerd in een container. Geen luxe, wel goed warm water, inbegrepen in de prijs.
Lozen chemisch toilet in een oude buitenstaande wc achteraan de container.
Wel grote lozingplaats voor vuilwatertank.
Voor ons leek het op een camperplaats waar ook caravans en tenten konden staan.
Zeker geen 3 sterren waard maar wel een stevige prijs per nacht vragen voor 2 personen.
Geen onthaal en geen bijkomende info ivm omgeving. Uitbater komt ontvangen en verdwijnt met de noorderzon. Receptie is die periode niet open gegaan. Friterie bleef gesloten.
Een schande zo een hoge prijs ..
