This campsite is located in the middle of the beautiful Großes Walsertal biosphere reserve in the mountainous western region of Austria. This is a quiet area with no mass tourism. It is ideal for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. Grosswalsertal Campsite is also in a great spot with fantastic hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. You'll enjoy a spectacular view of the surrounding mountain landscape from every vantage point at this friendly family campsite.

Open camping field with beautiful grass pitches

The reception is in a large log cabin. Owners Anita and Sigmar will offer you a warm welcome. You will find immaculately maintained grass pitches at this campsite. You also have a beautiful view of the surrounding area from all pitches. There is a steep drop off at the edge of this open terrain. You can also rent a luxury flat of at least 70 square metres here.

Please be aware: when the campsite is very busy, campers are asked to park their car in the parking lot in front of the campsite. This helps maintain the peace and tranquillity of the campsite.

Relax in the heated pool

The campsite has a basic rectangular swimming pool. This is the ideal place to freshen up and relax after a nice day of walking. The water is heated to a pleasant temperature by means of solar energy. There are also several larger indoor and outdoor swimming pools in the area. You can also go swimming in natural waters, of course. One of the best places to do that is the idyllic Lake Seewaldsee near Fontanella.

Travelling party: Couple

Prachtige ligging van deze prima camping. Je bent wel ver weg van een dorp en boodschappen, maar brood kun je bestellen op de camping. Wij hadden totaal geen ontvangst van wifi. Dat is niet meer van deze tijd, temeer omdat je de gastenkaart wel per email ontvangt.

Travelling party: Seniors

Het uitzicht rondom is fenomenaal. Het zwembad hebben wij niet gebruikt, dat was gesloten in september. In de omgeving zijn veel wandelmogelijkheden en bij een langer verblijf zijn diverse kabelbanen kosteloos! De camping ligt afgelegen, heerlijk rustig, maar je hebt wel een auto nodig om b.v. boodschappen te doen.

Travelling party: Seniors

Dit is een aangename bergcamping waar wij graag komen. De beheerders zijn uiterst vriendelijk, spreken ook NL. Het is een rustige schone camping met een fantastisch uitzicht over de bergen. In de omgeving zijn er talloze uitstapjes te maken te voet, per auto, fiets (klimmers). Ook tijdens de winter geopend maar daar hebben wij geen ervaring mee.
Er is een beachvolleybalveld en een klein zwembad aanwezig. Kortom onze favoriet!
