The clear blue Wolfgangsee is located in the Austrian lake district of Salzkammergut. Berau Campsite is right on the shores of this beautiful lake and features a private beach and jetty. This is a luxurious four-star campsite where you can completely relax and unwind. The beautiful surroundings also invite you to venture out and explore.

Camping on the Wolfgangsee

You'll be welcomed by the camping staff in traditional Austrian costume. Some of the camping pitches are located directly on the water's edge. You'll be camping on grassy pitches that are all equipped with electricity. The campsite and the lake are surrounded by high mountains.

Swimming in the Wolfgangsee

The Wolfgangsee is a large lake of almost 13 square kilometres. It is a nice place to swim in the summer. You can also take to the water with a rowing boat, canoe or pedal boat.

The village can be reached via a beautiful walking path along the shores of the lake.

Stone oven pizzas at the campsite

There is a modern Italian restaurant on the campsite where you can enjoy wood-fired pizzas. There is a small bakery and a small supermarket.

There's also a fully equipped fitness room for sporty campers. And of course the area is perfect for outdoor sports.

Explore the surroundings

St. Wolfgang is considered one of the most romantic villages in the region. The village is located at the foot of the Schafberg, where you'll be taken by steam train to the observation point at an elevation of 1,782 metres.

Just outside Strobl is a summer toboggan run where you can whiz down the mountain. The city of Salzburg is just a 45-minute drive away.

Wir waren 3 Nächte mit unserem Camper, zwischen Zelten und parkenden Autos ist so was von Eng zum aus und einparken. Wir haben Strom bezahlt also bitte zuerst Rechnung erbitten dann prüfen und bezahlen...haben wir nicht gemacht da wir so eine hohe Strom Rechnung noch nie hatten. Wir haben keine Klima etc. Wir waren jeden Tag mit dem Camper unterwegs von morgens bis abends also seltsam...Restaurant war super lecker..mit Hund schlecht da mit dem Laufen nur an der Hauptstraße möglich mit vielen Radfahrern und eng. Ansonsten haben wir nix genutzt.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Wir waren eine Woche auf dem Campingplatz und nutzten ihn als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge.
Für Kinder sehr toll, allerdings zu kleine , eigenartig angelegte Stellplätze und zu wenig, nicht besonders gut gepflegte Sanitäreinrichtungen. Wir hätten uns von einem 4* Campingplatz mehr erwartet.

Das Personal ist super freundlich. Wir hatten noch nie Probleme mit unseren Hunden auch im Restaurant nicht. Weil man sich auf dem Campingplatz wirklich als Gast fühlt.
