Time for relaxation. It is peaceful both day and night at Camping Rothenfels. You camp next to the Rothenfels castle, a beautiful mediaeval castle in the Wölzertal region. At this campsite, you can choose your own pitch. There is a large terraced section and a separate nudist section with its own toilet facilities. It is also possible to stay at Camping Rothenfels with a large group. Ideal for a camping weekend or a team-building event.
Sun terrace and winter garden
Go for a swim in the nearby lake, laze about in the sun and end the afternoon with a delicious cup of coffee and Apfelstrudel. All of this is possible at this beautiful location. The campsite has a cafe with a sun terrace and a winter garden where you can relax. What’s more, you will find peace and quiet at Rothenfels and a thousand stars in the sky. The nearby castle organises tours on Thursdays and Saturdays from June through September.

The surrounding area is perfect for hiking, mountain biking and cycling. The ‘Sagenhaftes Wölzertal’ (Mythical Wölzertal) hiking trail is located in the area around the castle. On this Legend Trail, you can admire the various legends of the city of Oberwölz from close up. There are also miles of hills and wooded areas in the area.
