The quiet campsite Gössl is located on the far side of a valley, approximately 350 metres from Gössl. The campsite terrain is essentially one big Alpine pasture, without trees, where you can pitch your tent or caravan as you see fit. Surrounding the campsite is also a meadow, separated from the campsite by a simple wooden fence. You will really be camping in the middle of nature here! The campsite is situated directly on the crystal-clear Grundlsee. The lake has not been discovered by tourists yet.

Choose your own pitch
Everything looks well-tended. The grassy meadow has a couple of paths in good condition. The pitches are not marked: everyone can choose their own spot. This can be fun, although it can quickly get chaotic once it gets busy. Bear in mind that you will need to create your own shade; you will not find any trees here. The campsite is situated practically on the lake. The campsite also has a couple of decent caravans available for rent.
Active neighbours
Your neighbours come from Germany and the Netherlands, both in the peak and in the low season. Many Austrians come here on the weekends as well. The reason for this is the public swimming beach, which is situated next to the campsite. People come here for the mountains and for the lake, which is suitable for many activities such as swimming, surfing, boating and scuba diving (there is a diving school).
The campsite does not have a campsite shop or restaurant. Next to the camping grounds, you will find a small supermarket (and a larger one 5 km away), a bakery and a butcher. You will find a couple of restaurants on the lake. The restaurant situated right next to the campsite has a fine patio.
