The Austrian campsite Putterersee is a very pleasant, quiet campsite, situated along a small lake at 2 km distance from the town of Aigen im Ennstal (Steiermark). Cows graze peacefully all day on the adjacent meadows. All around you there you will see green grass, sloping hills and woods. On the lake you can show off your sporty side: paddle surfing, canoeing and swimming.

The attractive grounds

Camping Putterersee is a very neat and perfectly maintained campsite with 70 touring pitches on grass. The grounds are spacious, level and is located between surrounding farmhouses. You also have a view of the Putterersee and the often lavishly flowering meadows and surrounding green hills. Enjoy the ambience, peace and quiet so appreciated by many campers.

There are only two pitches for campers. You can also rent overnight accommodation on the campsite, such as a lovely apartment, room or hiker hut.

Swimming in a warm lake

The lake is unique because of its relatively warm water, which makes swimming here really enjoyable. There is a long jetty leading into the water and there is a modest sandy beach. You can float around in your inflatable boat or go canoeing/kayaking. A very good idea here: paddle surfing!

Typical Austrian Imbiss

The campsite has a small shop for daily necessities. A small supermarket is found 2 km away, in Aigen im Ennstal. You can eat in the Imbiss, obviously with typical Austrian look and decor.

Sanitary facilities

The sanitary facilities are amazingly well designed, certainly for a transit campsite. It is generous in size and very clean. All shower rooms have a separate wash basin.

sehr enge Zufahrt kann schwierig werden wenn einem ein anderer Camper entgegen kommt. Platz terrassenförmig angelegt und es hatte sonnige wie auch Plätze mit Schatten. Super freundliches junges Team, wir hatten freie Platzwahl. Eigene Badebucht mit Steg und toller See zum schwimmen. Sanitäranlagen top modern und sauber, hat zB auch Föhn bei den Duschen. Das Camping Stüberl bittet Kleinigkeiten für den Hunger zu fairen Preisen, bei der Rezeption gibt es Milch, Getränke, etc und jedem Morgen (ohne Vorbestellung) feine Brötchen und Hörnchen vom Bäcker. Neben einem Waschraum hat es noch eine Scheune in der Pingpongtische und ein Kicker zur Verfügung stehen. in der Nacht dunkel und ruhig, in der Nähe Ennsradwanderweg und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in der näheren Umgebung - wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ein Campingplatz zum Weiterempfehlen, sehr schöner ruhiger und gepflegter Campingplatz bzw. Anlage. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, Alles was der Camper braucht ist am Campingplatz zu finden. Für Hundebesitzer, Wanderer und Sportler ideale Spazierwege.
Direkt am kleinen See gelegen und freier Zugang zum Baden.

Ein gemütlicher CP. Wir waren im September für 2 Tage auf dort und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Top Sanitäranlagen. Eine zwanglose Belegung der Plätze, da alle gleich bewertet sind. Man kann sich seinen Platz aussuchen, sofern er frei ist und meldet sich dann Abends in der Rezeption. Wer sich erholen will ist hier genau richtig.

Wir machen schon seit Jahrzehnten im schönen Ennstal - der Steiermark, in Aigen Urlaub und haben seit ein paar Jahren den Campingplatz, als idealen Familien-Urlaubstreff entdeckt.
Auf dem Campingplatz stimmt eigentlich alles: stets freundliches und nettes Betreiberteam, bestens gepflegte und saubere Sanitäranlagen, viele Möglichkeiten der Unterkünfte: Zelt,Wohnwagen/mobil, Blockhütte/Pods u. sogar Ferienhaus sind eine Option.
Dazu liegt umfangreiches Infomaterial aus für Unternehmungen aller Art.
Ideal ist auch, dass der Campingplatz auf mehreren \"Höhen\" verteilt ist, so das man dort, von der \"obersten Etage\" einen super Rundblick über die nähergelegenen Örtlichkeiten - insbesondere natürlich auch über den am Campingplatz gelegenen \"Putterersee\" hat, und in der Ferne die umgrenzenden Berge, die sich alle relativ leicht \"besteigen\" lassen; - und das der \"Putterersee\" der wärmste Alpensee der Steiermark ist, hat er auch dieses Mal wieder bestätigt, denn mit 25 Grad machte es Spaß. jeden Tag 1x über den See zu schwimmen, der ca. 300 m im Durchmesser hat.
Fazit: Auch wenn es vielleicht nicht klappt hier jedes Jahr her zu kommen, dann mit Sicherheit........das Darauffolgende!!
Für Campingfreunde die hier Urlaub machen wollen kann ich nur sagen:
