Camping Knaller is located on the mountain lake of Weissensee, a five-minute walk from the town of Techendorf. From the camping grounds, you cross the quiet public road and through the reception, to reach the beautiful sunbathing area (exclusively for camping guests) and the banks of crystal-clear Lake Weissensee. In the summer you can go swimming and canoeing here, and in the winter you can skate on the frozen lake!

Divided into sections

The campsite is divided into four-pitch and single-pitch fields. It might take some effort to organise everything properly on your pitch at first, as the fields for four are not overly spacious. On the other pitches, you have a chance for more space. The grounds are slightly sloping, which often provides a natural way of demarcation.

Your neighbours come from different countries and also form a varied group in other ways. People come here to boat, dive, hike, cycle (the campsite rents out e-bikes), swim or lounge. In the late season, you're more likely to meet senior citizens.

Swimming, canoeing and more

The swimming in the lake is fantastic, and you can naturally canoe, kayak or surf there to your heart's content. There are trees in the sunbathing area, so finding shade is no problem. From the sunbathing area, you have a magnificent view of the placid water and the other side of the valley.

Sanitary facilities

At the entrance to the campsite is the spacious and modern sanitary building. It is equipped with every convenience. It is even open in the winter (heated, of course).

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Wij hebben een volle week op camping Knaller gestaan. Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst met diverse goede tips voor activiteiten in de omgeving. Het meer is wat ons betreft een van de mooiste meren van Oostenrijk! Helder, blauw en rustig! Mooi en ruim strandbad met gras, zwemsteiger en restaurant met terras van de camping (alleen even de weg oversteken). Van het restaurant hebben wij geen gebruik gemaakt, maar gerechten zagen er goed uit. Verder in het direct naast gelegen Techendorf genoeg andere eetgelegenheden en een Spar. Veel te doen in de omgeving. Veel wandelroutes en mountainbike trails rond \'t meer. Aanrader : met de rondvaartboot naar het eind van het meer en (deels) teruglopen langs de oever! De uitstraling van het campingterrein vonden wij minder. Plaatsen niet altijd even vlak en weinig gras. Het plaatstype Talas, vonden wij te klein voor een caravan met luifel en auto. was echt passen en meten. Kies dan het grootste plaatstype. Het enige vermaak op de camping zelf is het meer, maar dat is wat ons betreft genoeg. Het sanitairgebouw vonden wij het mooiste wat we ooit waren tegen gekomen. Al met al een plek waar je een fijne vakantie kunt doorbrengen!

Travelling party: Seniors

Prima camping, vriendelijk ontvangst, goede plaatsen maar in de zomer geen schaduw. Prachtig meer met rondom veel wandel- en fietsmogelijkheden. Nieuw en schoon sanitair, aan de overkant van camping mooi “badestrand”. Erg rustig gelegen maar voor kinderen misschien te weinig vertier anders dan watersport. Meer blijft tot eind september, ondanks diepte, wonderbaarlijk warm, ca. 18 grd.

Travelling party: Seniors

3 weken op deze camping gestaan. Bij aankomst 13 september camping voor 95 % vol. Konden zelf nog een goede plaats vinden.
Met een stijging van 15% ongeveer 10 km voor de camping kan dit voor sommige combinatie mogelijk een probleem kunnen zijn. Hebben daar zelf geen probleem mee gehad.
