This cosy campsite has a beautiful location right next to a small lake in the heart of the Austrian Alps. You can enjoy cycling and walking around the area thanks to its rural location and the beautiful nature surrounding it. It is also ideal for paragliders and hang gliders who begin and end their flights at Flight Camp Oberes Drautal (Fliegercamp Oberes Drautal). The campsite has now become an authority in organising this adventurous sport.

Camping in Carinthia

Located in the southernmost part of Austria, close to the Italian border, the Oberes Drautal is a lovely destination with a mild climate. The warm air from Italy is important for fliers who come especially to this mountainous part of Carinthia. Everything here revolves around paragliding. There is a landing area next to the campsite where training courses are provided.

Fresh mountain air

The main building is the central focal point on the flat terrain. The touring pitches are located on different streets and offer plenty of space and privacy. The sanitary facilities are modern and clean, just like the rest of the campsite. Many guests are involved with the flying activities, but other campers are also very welcome.

Swimming in the lake

The swimming lake at the campsite is ideal for water recreation in warm weather. The sandy beach features a sunbathing area and children can also have fun at the nearby playground. Or go pony riding, explore new heights in the climbing gym or hop on a boat to go rafting down the river. You can also go for a swim in the pool at nearby Camping am Waldbad.
